About The Position

SITEC Consulting is seeking an Engineering Technician / Engineering Support Specialist to support research, testing, analysis, evaluation, and documentation efforts for engineering programs. This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on technical experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to support engineers across laboratory, testing, prototype, and documentation activities. We are open to considering candidates at the junior, mid, and senior levels, depending on experience, technical background, and ability to support mission requirements. The selected candidate will perform technical support functions involving the testing, analysis, and evaluation of materials, processes, components, systems, and prototypes. This role will support engineers by gathering and analyzing technical data, preparing engineering documentation, assisting with laboratory and test activities, and assembling or evaluating electrical and electronic systems.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5+ years of related technical, engineering, laboratory, testing, prototype, electronics, mechanical, or DoD support experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical data, drawings, schematics, specifications, procedures, or engineering documentation.
  • Experience using computers to develop documentation, reports, calculations, or data summaries.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record and communicate technical information.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a technical team.

Nice To Haves

  • DoD platform experience.
  • Experience supporting engineering, test, evaluation, research, prototype, or laboratory environments.
  • Experience assembling, testing, or troubleshooting electrical or electronic systems.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, measuring instruments, test equipment, and laboratory procedures.
  • Experience preparing technical reports, schematics, flow charts, block diagrams, or engineering documentation.
  • Associate's degree, technical certification, military technical training, or additional relevant education preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research and engineering laboratory functions involving the testing, analysis, and evaluation of materials, components, systems, and processes.
  • Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical and engineering tasks.
  • Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, including laboratory results, material test results, design changes, and engineering documentation.
  • Analyze technical data to determine applicability to design problems and support engineering decision-making.
  • Select from possible design layouts and assist with calculations, design data, layouts, specifications, parts lists, estimates, procedures, and related documentation.
  • Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, schematics, and other technical materials.
  • Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas and provided guidelines.
  • Conduct preliminary data analysis in areas such as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency, and quantitative technical review.
  • Use personal computers and related software tools to perform analyses and develop reports, documentation, and technical products.
  • Assemble electrical and electronic systems, components, and prototypes according to engineering data and electrical principles.
  • Use hand tools, measuring instruments, and test equipment to support assembly, evaluation, and troubleshooting.
  • Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions.
  • Record, organize, and report test results accurately and clearly.
