About The Position

Engineering Technician Responsibilities: Provide technical and design support Assemble and construct system assemblies. Conduct tests and debug electronic or electrical systems. Provide and/or expedite project documentation. Assist with organization, checking documentation for new equipment. Assist in production and/or manuals for new equipment. Requisition of parts and/or materials for projects. Prepare drawings and/or sketches, BOM (Bill of Material) list. Review and correct documentation for projects. Mains and upgrades testing equipment. Repairs and troubleshoot electronic, electrical, and/or mechanical equipment. Technical support for mill and field equipment. Programing/debugging of the PLC and HMI systems (Allen Bradley and Siemens). Programing/debugging of AC/DC drives. Perform specific work-related tasks as assigned. Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.

Requirements

  • 2-year technical degree and/or experience in the related field.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of technical ability.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and to relate to technical knowledge to specific applications.
  • Experience with PLC programming (Allen Bradley and Siemens).
  • Domestic and some international travel.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Must be able to stand in uncomfortable positions for some periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in varied weather conditions
  • Must be comfortable getting dirty, and/or working in contaminated areas.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights/manlifts.
  • Valid driver license
  • Willing to travel as needed (less than 20%)
