About The Position

Marvin Composites is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Technician at our Fargo, ND location. This role supports the implementation of new equipment within our composites manufacturing plant. You will partner closely with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance teams to move our custom equipment from concept to production and support continuous improvement initiatives. In this role, you’ll spend time on the production floor working directly with our custom equipment to build, install, and troubleshoot to ensure it runs as expected. You’ll work alongside contractors to make sure equipment is installed correctly and aligns with engineering prints and specifications. You’ll diagnose and resolve issues and help get new equipment production ready and support a smooth handoff. This role requires staying organized and managing your time across multiple projects while working closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, takes pride in troubleshooting and fixing problems, and enjoys seeing their work running and supporting daily production teams.

Requirements

  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to identify root causes and resolve mechanical or process issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to share technical information and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize work, and support multiple projects at once
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated hands-on ability to fabricate, assemble, install, and modify equipment using basic shop tools

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a technical or engineering discipline preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build and implement new custom manufacturing equipment and processes from concept through production
  • Support equipment specifications, design reviews, documentation, and installation activities
  • Integrate new equipment into production using hands-on fabrication, installation, and troubleshooting skills
  • Provide basic training and share knowledge with production and maintenance teams on new equipment and processes
  • Support continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency, reliability, and process capability
  • Coordinate and oversee contractor work related to equipment and process implementation
