About The Position
Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. May work with complex machines or computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. This role involves support of Space Vehicle satellite manufacturing, following engineering drawings and defined manufacturing processes, and navigating and working to paperless work instructions (MES). The position requires individual contributor responsibilities with limited supervision, and the ability to lead complex tasks when needed and contribute to pre-task briefings. Flexibility to work overtime/nights/weekends and alternate shifts is also required.
Requirements
- Cable and harness installation, routing and cable management, cable mate/demate experience
- Mechanical assembly and test of hardware including ESD sensitive hardware
- Hardware integration
- Rigging/overhead crane
- Preparation for and conducting system level hardware testing (deployments, environments testing, etc.)
- Performing system level alignments to meet system requirements
- Field support for launch vehicle integration only during a one week timeframe at the end of the year
- Move equipment weighing 45 pounds or less from one place to another-anthing over this is a two person lift
- Occasional repetitive movements during specified durations
- Manual dexterity, motor skills and situational awareness to handle and manufacture space hardware
- Cable routing and wire harness
- Basic computer skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
- Support of Space Vehicle satellite manufacturing
- Individual contributor responsibilities with limited supervision
- Following engineering drawings and defined manufacturing processes

- Secret Security Clearance Level Required
