About The Position

Apogee Global RMS is a veteran-led enterprise risk advisory consulting and talent solutions firm supporting federal agencies and defense organizations with highly specialized engineering, technical, and mission-critical workforce solutions. We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician IV to support submarine engineering and maintenance programs. The Engineering Technician IV will provide technical and field engineering support for Submarine Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) systems, with a focus on Sail and Towed Antenna Systems. The successful candidate will work closely with U.S. Navy maintenance activities, shipyards, engineering teams, and government stakeholders to support inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and system readiness.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of prior military, Department of Defense, or related industry experience supporting Submarine HM&E systems maintenance management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience providing field engineering support for submarine maintenance programs.
  • Experience serving as a group leader working with Waterfront Maintenance Activities, Naval Shipyards, Submarine Force Electronics Material Offices, Senior Naval Officers, and Other U.S. Government agencies.
  • Experience supporting Submarine Sail and Towed Antenna Systems.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in inspection, repair, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, installation of Sail and Towed Antenna mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Experience using Submarine Sail ISE REP Client Databases.
  • Active SECRET Security Clearance or the ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET Clearance.

  • Strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Navy maintenance procedures and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills in a government/defense environment.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams.
