Requirements

  • High school diploma and 2 years of relevant work experience (for ET 2) or 4 years of relevant work experience (for ET 3).
  • Ability to routinely lift 30 pounds and ability to work in tight spaces.
  • Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Ability and willingness to provide coverage on weekends.
  • Ability to obtain a US government Secret security clearance as needed, for which US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Nice To Haves

  • Technology degree preferred.
  • Experience handling energetics, hazardous chemicals, and solvents preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operates analytical instrumentation.
  • Performs standard analytical test methods for quality control, material assessment, or engineering evaluation.
  • Provides technical support to plant personnel on a variety of tasks.
  • Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
  • Follows engineering documentation requirements including specifications and drawings.
  • Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas.
  • Performs quantitative judgments concerning technical data.
  • Disposes of raw materials per regulatory guidelines.
  • Communicates well across multiple disciplines.
  • Monitors gauge, instrument, and equipment calibrations. Ensures calibration cycles are not exceeded.
  • Performs a variety of technical procedures such as preparing routine solutions and reagents and performing routine reactions.
  • Able to work overtime as required.
