About The Position

Loos & Co., a Central Wire company, is seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Technician to support the Engineering team in maintaining and improving manufacturing processes, equipment, and product quality. This role assists engineers with testing, documentation, troubleshooting, product development, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD or SolidWorks) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement principles is a plus.
• Experience in metal manufacturing, wire and cable manufacturing, or a related industrial environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of quality systems and root cause analysis.
• Experience with testing equipment and precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with manufacturing and process improvement projects.
• Conduct product testing and record test results accurately.
• Collect, analyze, and report production and quality data.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Create and update work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation.
• Assist with equipment setup, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Support investigations into manufacturing issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform root cause analysis on production and quality concerns.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Maintain organized engineering records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
