About The Position

The Engineering Technician, Process Engineering role supports semiconductor process engineering through fabrication, testing, process-flow validation, equipment troubleshooting, sample logistics, and experiment coordination. The technician fabricates electrical test structures in a cleanroom, coordinates characterization of new or improved process flows, conducts electrical testing and basic data analysis, and helps maintain and troubleshoot fabrication tools. The role also coordinates wafer and sample shipments between ASM facilities and manages multiple experiments to meet business deadlines while maintaining work quality.

Requirements

• Associate degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience with capital equipment in the semiconductor industry in a cleanroom environment.
• Demonstrated track record of process, equipment, or electrical testing and support in an engineering environment.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets, data analysis, and documentation.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Strong safety-first and housekeeping focus.
• Strong cleanroom protocol habits and execution.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work alone and/or with limited supervision.
• Ability to multitask and complete assignments error-free.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate electrical test structures, such as MOSCAP, MIMCAP, and FETs, using cleanroom equipment including deposition, lithography, etch, and anneal tools.
• Validate new or improved process flows by coordinating characterizations such as TEM and thickness measurements.
• Perform electrical testing of fabricated test structures, collate data, and conduct basic analysis.
• Collaborate on maintaining and troubleshooting fabrication tools, including lithography and etch tools, and an electrical probe station.
• Coordinate logistics for wafer and sample shipments between ASM facilities.
• Manage priorities across multiple experiments to meet business deadlines while maintaining quality of work.
