About The Position

Responsible for product design support for standard or custom load banks. Will work under the direction of Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineers performing prototyping, verification and validation activities.

Requirements

• 5 plus years’ experience with load banks, generators, electrical testing equipment or similar products in the electrical products space.
• Experience with laboratory test equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, thermocouples, oscilloscopes, etc. is required
• Proficiency in MS-Office desktop solutions is required including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Must be able to use desktop applications such as Microsoft Excel to evaluate large data sets

Nice To Haves

• Two-year degree preferred
• Experience with low and medium voltage power systems is preferred
• Basic understanding of computer networking would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• May prototype concepts using available materials for quick go/no-go decisions whether to proceed into detailed design.
• Assists design engineers to prototype new product designs whether completely new designs or significant revisions to load banks.
• May assist in regulatory agency testing or preparation such as UL, CSA, TUV or others as required.
• Assists in debugging production problems.
• May participate in cost reduction or alternate component initiatives by testing and evaluating proposed options.
• Performs other duties as assigned by either line manager or project engineer(s).
• May travel occasionally to customer sites to understand product application or to resolve product support issues.
