Supermicro is seeking an Engineering Technician to join the Motherboard Application Validation Team. This position is based in our headquarters located in San Jose, CA.
Requirements
- H.S. graduate or GED equivalent, some college is preferred
- Minimum 1 year of relative working experience in electronic computer industry a must
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal
- Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment
- Demonstrate understanding or how to successfully work in cross-functional organizations
- Demonstrate strong organizational and planning skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation skills), and ability to negotiate effectively
- Excellent knowledge of server systems, PC systems, and computer architecture
Nice To Haves
- Computer or server installation experience a plus
- Familiarity with mechanical assembly, cable routing and quality standards a plus
Responsibilities
- Help to prepare and assembly the system under test
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and instruction to proceed SI testing
- Proactive and professionally manage the lab environment in accordance with company guidelines
- Able to manage multiple tasks and projects
- Follow up the bug tracking system to communicate with designer and verify the failure issue
