We're seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Engineering Technician to contribute to our innovative projects in a diverse and inclusive environment. As part of our team, you'll be at the forefront of product development, working with early-stage prototypes and helping to identify and resolve emerging issues. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of engineers and cross-functional partners, building strong relationships as you tackle challenging problems. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact on the future of our products. We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Engineering Technician to support hands-on hardware rework, test, and validation across early-stage prototypes and consumer electronics devices. You'll partner closely with engineers and lab management to keep our lab spaces running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in configuring and operating electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, etc.) and comfort working in a lab environment on both new and repetitive tasks
  • Soldering skills at J-STD-001 / IPC-610-A certification level or better, with a focus on surface-mount microsoldering rework, plus familiarity with basic circuit design, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Ability to execute consumer electronics device test setups, data collection, and results compilation using scripting and test automation
  • Experience with macOS computers and digital productivity tools (Numbers/Excel, Keynote, etc.)
  • Understanding of complex Bills of Materials and experience with related documentation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across a large cross-functional team
  • Ability to adapt quickly to resets and changes in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to make revisions and improvements to bash scripts
  • Experience operating metrology and test equipment (Keyence, robotic systems, etc.)
  • Familiarity with board layout design tools such as Cadence Allegro
  • Experience with PLM tools; Agile experience preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of ESD-safe work procedures and basic chemical hazards (adhesives, solvents, epoxy, etc.)

Responsibilities
