We are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of a strong team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with a geology or other science-based degree to enter the civil engineering industry. This position is also a good fit for anyone interested in construction who enjoys hands-on work.

Requirements

High School degree
Valid Driver’s License
Possess good oral, written, communication, and organizational skills
Able to perform rudimentary mathematic computations
Attentive to detail
Interest in working outdoors on construction sites
Candidates must be able to lift 50 - 75 pounds on an occasional basis and be physically able to negotiate construction sites, climb ladders and work outside
Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history and motor vehicle record
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Nice To Haves

Construction experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Field observation and testing during placement of construction materials including soil, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and sprayed-on fireproofing
Reporting of test results and site observations
Soil and concrete laboratory testing
