Requirements

  • Experience with robotic controls, HMI, quality sensors, conveyor systems, and production equipment.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming.
  • Experience with windows, apps and other computer operating systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Ability to learn product and finish requirements as it relates to area of automation.
  • 2 -3 years operations/manufacturing experience.
  • Basic math and communication skills.
  • Degree or pursuing a degree in an automation or engineering field.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and grow within the role.
  • Ability to apply problem solving techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Training and/or education with robotic programming a plus.
  • Prefer programming experience with Hurco and Fom Industries CNCs and Radan Radpunch CAD/CAM software.
  • Prefer experience and training with Yaskawa Motoman robots.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain an automated robotic system including robots, HMI, and conveyor system within standard work.
  • Troubleshoot automated system faults including minor programming adjustments within defined standard work and under engineering oversight.
  • Generate NC Code for CNC machines using CAD/CAM software under engineering oversight.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, process engineering and materials to ensure timely detection and repair of faulty automated systems.
  • Support implementation of process improvements and new equipment installations under guidance of process engineering.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining all process documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Collect data to facilitate and actively problem solve improvements on automated and support systems.
  • Understand and ensure commitment to the safety guidelines within the manufacturing floor and across the plant.
