About The Position

The Engineering Technician will provide hands-on technical support to the Aerospace & Defense Electrical Protection engineering team, supporting the development, testing, qualification, and sustainment of mission-critical electrical protection products used in aerospace and defense platforms. This role is highly lab-focused and works closely with design, test, manufacturing, and quality engineering.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Leads analyzing the malfunctions and deviations of control systems to identify and resolve problems.
  • Advises the engineering team on sample builds.
  • Ensures tooling and equipment validation with engineering.
  • Performs engineering tests.
  • Ensures the development of testing and data analysis.
  • Leads cycle time studies that identify potential bottlenecks.
  • Identifies irregularities in the process of the manufacturing equipment.
  • Advises on analysis and prepares reports using metrics obtained from monitoring using raw data, trends and other reports.
  • Leads technical issues and trains other employees in the team.
  • Provides changes of documentation in work instructions.
  • Build, modify, and troubleshoot high‑voltage electrical and mechanical components, assemblies, wiring harnesses, and test fixtures with minimal supervision.
  • Independently set up and execute electrical, thermal, mechanical, and environmental tests (e.g., HV, current cycling, shock & vibration) in support of development and qualification efforts.
  • Own lab execution and technical support, including data collection and documentation, failure analysis support, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety and calibration standards.
  • Draft failure analyses and qualification test reports.
