About The Position

Renesas Electronics is looking for an experienced Engineering Technician to fill the position in the Reliability Stress Lab supporting operations in Palm Bay, Florida. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, and detail oriented with excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills. Requirements

  • AS or AA in electrical, military training, or 5+ years relevant work experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Strong electrical/electronic skills
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Must have knowledge and proficiency using test equipment (DVM, oscilloscope, signal generator, power supplies, current source).
  • Computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • Ability to lift 40lbs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced Lab environment

  • Understanding semiconductor stress lab operations.
  • This is an ITAR role - the candidate must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. Person.

Responsibilities

  • Reliability stress lab equipment maintenance. Including routine PM and failed equipment trouble shooting.
  • Daily stress lab activities include loading and unloading of biased qualification hardware into and out of stress chambers. Power up and power down of the hardware and chambers. Attention to detail is a key focus with a zero lab induce failure mindset.
  • Troubleshooting of suspect or failed qualification hardware - HTOL, HAST, and THB boards. Ability to understand schematics and resolve issues.
  • Chamber wiring – power supply and rack interface.
  • Support Product Quality Engineers in coordinating and assisting with stress lab hardware wiring and the overall qualification process.
  • Willingness to work with the REL Lab staff to learn and become proficient at various aspects of the Reliability Lab.
  • Focus on a zero Lab induced failure mindset.
