About The Position

SAIC is seeking a mid to senior level Engineering Technician for a growth opportunity at an industrial/engineering/testing site in Newport, RI. The candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team of electrical & mechanical engineers and technicians to support the electrical and mechanical maintenance, calibration, configuration, and testing of an advanced Naval Test Facility. The Acoustic Test Facility (ATF) is a specialized facility that performs testing and characterization of naval systems. The primary work focus will involve the maintenance, setup, breakdown, and repair of mechanical and electrical test equipment and facility infrastructure including fluid and material handling, industrial equipment, data acquisition, signal processing and complex test and automation systems. The candidate must be self-motivated, accountable, and present themselves professionally in front of customers and peers. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, strong work ethic, analytical thinking, troubleshooting abilities and the propensity to learn and grow within the organization.
