Requirements

  • An associate degree in surveying, drafting, designing, civil, or any other appropriate field of engineering technology.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver's license.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with bridge inspections, structural evaluations, and documentation of conditions
  • Collect measurements, sketches, and photographs for inspection reports
  • Learn technical procedures related to bridge safety, damage identification, and inspection standards
  • Help prepare reports, complete calculations, and maintain project records
  • Support the upkeep of inspection tools, materials, and related equipment
  • Work with supervisors, inspectors, and other agencies to support project goals
