About The Position

Vickers and Nolan Enterprises (VNE) is an engineering company that provides Government projects and programs with experienced and dedicated system architects, engineers, subject matter experts (in tactical intelligence), and program managers. VNE also develops training courses and tools to prepare warfighters to effectively employ tactical intelligence systems and provide management guidance to the Government organizations that develop these systems. The scope of work covers systems engineering, technical, and management support services for the government and its associated acquisition, technology, logistics, and program management offices. Support is provided to multiple stakeholders responsible for the development, integration, and sustainment of specialized operational capabilities. The scope of support includes program management, engineering analysis and design, configuration management, testing, quality control, sustainment, cybersecurity, training, and field service representative (FSR) support for a static collection capability that functions as a subsystem within a larger integrated system. This is in support of the development, production, and sustainment of specialized intelligence capabilities. Configuration management and associated systems engineering activities are conducted through a collaborative effort among multiple government and partner organizations to ensure interoperability, performance, and lifecycle support.

Requirements

TS/SCI/CI Poly Cleared
Masters or Bachelor’s level degree
Fifteen (15) years of experience w/ Master’s
Twenty (20) years of experience w/ Bachelor’s
Written and oral communications abilities commensurate with this management role

Responsibilities

Constructs components, subunits, or simple models or adapts standard equipment.
Troubleshoots and corrects malfunctions.
Follows specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct and package simple devices and subunits of equipment.
Conducts various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in measurement.
Selects, prepares, and operates standard test equipment and records test data.
Extracts and compiles a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc.
Processes data, identifies errors or inconsistencies, and selects methods of data presentation.
Assists in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component parts.
Develops information concerning previous operational failures and modifications.
Uses judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seeks sources to clarify information.
Communicates task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
Leads and participates in meetings and working groups.
