TIGS Field Engineering & Sustainment applies technical knowledge and hands-on engineering technician experience to the integration, testing, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation, and sustainment of complex SATCOM, RF, electronic, hardware, software, and integrated communications systems supporting the Tactical Integrated Ground System (TIGS) and related Department of Defense missions. This position provides hands-on technical support across depot, laboratory, field, and operational environments. The Engineering Technician supports system deployment, installation, operational checkout, system and equipment testing, fault isolation, corrective and preventive maintenance, cable and chassis fabrication, technical documentation, and customer support. The position interfaces with Engineering, Product Support, Government customers, operators, maintainers, and technical support organizations to diagnose issues and restore system functionality. The ideal candidate is an experienced SATCOM and engineering technician professional with demonstrated experience in RF troubleshooting, electronic testing and repair, systems integration, technical documentation, field operations, and CONUS/OCONUS SATCOM deployments.
