About The Position
The Engineering Technician will be responsible for independently producing engineering design plans for public works projects and land development, utilizing AutoCAD software. They will work with an engineering design team from initial concepts to final plan production and draft various sketches, plans, and exhibits using CAD.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in a position requiring intensive AutoCAD/Civil 3D
- Experience drafting on-site and off-site improvement drawings for land development projects.
- General knowledge of computers, Microsoft office, Adobe, Internet, etc.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with BlueBeam a plus.
Responsibilities
- Carries out tasks assigned by the Project Lead and engineering team.
- Drafting grading, drainage, utility, street frontage improvements, and stormwater management plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D grading feature lines and utility pipe networks.
- Preparing drawings per company and public agency CAD standards and project-dependent CAD specifications.
