About The Position

The Engineering Technician IV will ensure that our government customer achieves the desired infrastructure, capabilities, and processes for the deployment of systems and services at the speed of relevance. The Engineering Technician IV performing on this contract will possess the required skills, experience and credentials at the appropriate clearance level and be responsible for executing collaborative logistics integration and interoperability to enhance command and control, communications, and readiness for our customer.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or passing score on the General Education Development (GED) exam AND five (5) years of full-time professional experience working as an Engineering Technician in providing technical support related to the design, development, production, or testing directly in support of the Department of Defense.
  • Four (4) years full-time hands-on experience in installation, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or testing of any major military system.
  • Secret Clearance
  • Past performance in supporting DoD related logistics activities and/or field support
  • Ability to work as a member of a team with the skills and personality to lead discussions that results in positive desired outcomes
  • Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Conducting basic networking and emplacement of military systems upon receiving proper training manuals
  • Experience in developing and testing solutions to solve technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance; while assisting engineers in inspecting products, conducting tests, and collecting data.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant experience and years of service may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Experience with following published user manuals and maintenance documentation. In addition, experience reading, editing, and creating electrical drawings and system schematics.
  • Experience working at military facility locations or field bases.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technician support during test and demonstration planning.
  • Develop and test solutions to solve technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance
  • Assist engineers in inspecting products, conducting tests, and collecting data
  • Follow published user manuals and maintenance documentation.
  • Support Engineering teams by reading, editing, and creating electrical drawings and system schematics.
  • Provide test event support including resource identification, planning, delivery, site setup, site daily operation, and retrograde.
  • Arrange for material handling equipment for off-loading, loading, and movement of test and training equipment.
  • Set up and operate test equipment power generation and distribution, and environmental control equipment.
