Assist engineering by designing, testing, fabricating, and/or troubleshooting a process, system, assembly, or product. Assist engineering and coordinate with internal teams on a variety of products and processes, including: engineering specifications, drawings, models, manuals, processes, or bill of materials. Research, investigate, and select technical data pertinent to the assigned project. Work with internal teams and external sources to obtain and communicate data relative to engineering requirements. May be involved in the bid process. Write test plans, conduct tests, and document results. Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations on projects. Participate in department improvement activities. May be asked to interact with customer to install, monitor, troubleshoot, or repair products. Maintain a clean and safe work area. May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed. Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards. Lead or participate in department improvement activities. Perform troubleshooting to look for areas of opportunity, as well as compliance and implementation issues. Develop, research, and recommend test procedures. With Engineering assistance, facilitate minor design projects from the concept stage through production, and make modifications as necessary. Responsible for defining technical approaches and tasks related to activities and minor projects. Has critical project technical leadership responsibility; may plan or delegate work assignments to lower-level technicians. Has knowledge of the business side and contributes to strategic decisions. May perform limited Engineering work.
