About The Position

SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician III in Crane, IN to support the U.S. Navy. The role involves providing test and evaluation, troubleshooting, lot acceptance, qualification, engineering analysis, documentation, procedure/process creation, shipment/receipt, and vendor coordination of batteries. The technician will support battery testing, including temperature/humidity cycling, pressure/altitude, acceleration, vibration, and mechanical shock testing for various battery chemistries like Li-ion, Lithium Iron Disulfide, Lithium Calcium, and Lead Acid.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology or related field. Additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
• Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. Interim Secret needed to start
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to read electrical drawings
• Must have excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of technical, voltage, test equipment
• 5-7 years practical experience in a power source laboratory
