Engineering Technician III
About The Position
SAIC is seeking an Engineer Technician with practical experience in the management, control, operation, and maintenance of electronic test equipment and integrated testing systems to support afloat Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) major systems. This program will be part of a transformative venture, driving the future of next generation afloat mission effectiveness in response to evolving strategic and environmental demands. This position is hybrid and the candidate must live within an hour of Pascagoula, MS.
Requirements
- Practical experience in the management, control, operation, and maintenance of electronic test equipment and integrated testing systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a comprehensive inventory of electronic test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
- Ensure periodic calibrations are complete and maintain records.
- Perform diagnostics, and preventive maintenance for all test and measurement tools.
- Develop and update instructions for test and measurement procedures, standard operating protocols, and vendor certifications.
- Work in close collaboration with engineers, IT specialists, and other project team members to ensure test equipment is operating effectively and supporting operational goals.
- Provide input for program-level decision making regarding test equipment updates, replacements, and modernization priorities.
