About The Position

Synectic Solutions, Inc. (SSI) seeks an Engineering Technician III / Quality Control Specialist III to support the HYDRA/SWICS Radio Program within PBLO operations supporting Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic). This position provides hands-on technical and quality-control support for the inspection, troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, repair, and sustainment of radio communications equipment and associated electronic components. The successful candidate will apply practical electronics knowledge, sound technical judgment, and attention to detail to ensure equipment meets approved performance and workmanship requirements. Responsibilities include evaluating equipment condition, performing authorized maintenance, verifying completed repairs, documenting inspection results, and maintaining accurate equipment and maintenance records. The position reports through SSI supervision and coordinates with technical, logistics, and quality personnel to support program requirements and equipment readiness.

Responsibilities

Performs technical assignments that are not fully standardized or prescribed, selecting or adapting established procedures and equipment using applicable technical precedents.
Assembles or adapts components and subassemblies using approved drawings and technical instructions.

Selects, prepares, and operates appropriate test equipment.
