About The Position

ASRC Federal System Solutions LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, requires a highly motivated Engineering Technician II to support the ASTROS Contract. We are looking for someone with good mechanical ability. ASRC Federal is supporting cutting edge propulsion systems testing at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and we are looking for the best people to be a part of this research.

Requirements

Good mechanical ability.
Basic knowledge of building construction and components (HVAC, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and landscaping).
Basic experience with mechanical systems.
Ability to know or quickly learn how to operate a forklift.
Ability to read a blueprint is preferred.
Know about and be able to use basic hand tools.
0-2 years of experience in the work force.
HS Degree.
Valid Driver’s License.
Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Work in a team environment and able to take instructions from a more senior technician.
Perform different assignments all throughout the day.
Receive daily instructions and provide feedback and complete work with minimal supervision.
Wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment.
Work overtime and or work different shifts with little notice.
Place Safety of self and others ahead of everything else. All support must be well thought out, with safety in mind, before started.
Have great customer service skills and able to communicate the status of jobs and understand deadlines.
Work to a well-defined schedule and quickly communicate any deviations.
Work Overtime or support different work shifts with little to no notice.
Work in the Mojave Desert. The weather outdoors can be extremely hot or extremely cold.
