About The Position

As an Engineering Technician I at Mytra, you will join our Manufacturing Engineering team during a period of rapid scaling and production growth. This is an entry-to-junior level role focused on executing structured, well-defined assembly and production tasks under direct supervision. You will work closely with senior technicians and engineers to learn our processes, maintain an efficient workspace, and ensure hardware is built to strict quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Basic hands-on experience or vocational training in mechanical assembly, using standard hand/power tools, and a foundational ability to read technical drawings or blueprints.
  • An interest or basic experience in fabrication, and comfort working around structural components or heavy machinery.
  • Eager to learn and use standard Metrology & Inspection tools (like calipers and micrometers) to complete simple, routine measurements accurately.
  • A High School Diploma, trade school certificate, or Associate degree with 0–2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or prototyping environment.
  • Strictly follow safety standards with oversight, demonstrate good spatial awareness (relative to overhead hazards and moving equipment), and maintain a clean, organized work environment (5S).
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and remaining mobile throughout the facility.
  • Comfortable working at heights and open to learning basic rigging safety (slings, shackles, hooks, etc.).
  • Comfortable navigating modern digital tools (Google Suite) and open to being trained on manufacturing software systems (ERP/MRP/PLM) like Arena or Linear.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic experience or exposure to forklifts, scissor lifts, or boom lifts.
  • Familiarity with simple wire routing, cable management, or basic electronics.
  • A foundational understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts or working in an ISO 9001 environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute structured, routine assembly workflows under close direction.
  • Assist in identifying obvious line blocks and escalate technical issues promptly to senior team members.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) with high accuracy and care.
  • Record simple logs, production data, and basic technical documentation accurately.
  • Contributes positively to team productivity by reliably delivering assigned work, maintaining a steady pace while prioritizing attention to quality and detail.
  • Operate basic shop equipment under supervision, assist with routine preventive maintenance tasks, and help keep tooling inventory organized.
  • Assist in building product prototypes according to established documentation and step-by-step engineering instructions.
  • Communicate respectfully and clearly with supervisors and peers.
  • Ask clarifying questions to understand instructions, and actively engage in learning Mytra’s technical standards.
