About The Position

This position is contingent upon Contract Award. Job specifications are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed by employees. The Engineering Technician I will work directly with the Government personnel in meeting the technical needs of the project.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of experience performing simple routine technical tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures.
  • Basic technical skills in assembly, wiring, and soldering procedures.
  • Ability to operate simple test equipment and accurately record test data.
  • Proficiency in basic data entry and computation using standard formulas.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and diagrams.
  • Demonstrated communication skills to effectively follow instructions and report observations to engineers.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate data collection and documentation within the T&E process.
  • Demonstrated commitment to adhering to safety protocols and procedures within the T&E environment.
  • DoD Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with some vocational or technical training is desired.
  • Military experience preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a T&E environment preferred.
  • Involvement in testing and troubleshooting military-grade systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the execution of Range Operations and Sustainment sub-task missions.
  • Maintaining records/logs/data.
  • Reviewing documents.
  • Providing input to test planning, execution, and reporting activities.
  • Identifying deviations from expected outcomes.
  • Noting equipment malfunctions.
  • Effectively interfacing with Government, Military and Contractor personnel in a collaborative work environment facilitating goal achievement.
  • Reviewing test documentation to ensure that test plans and procedures align with objectives, criteria, and applicable military standards.
  • Preparing comprehensive Test Incident Reports (TIRs) to detail mission timelines, deviations, equipment failures, and preventive and corrective maintenance actions.
  • Monitoring test events to adherence to approved test plans and to address deviations as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate logs, including recording equipment failures, data collection challenges, and procedural deviations in both digital and written formats.
  • Performing simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures.
  • Assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.
  • Performing simple or routine tasks.
  • Operating and adjusting simple test equipment.
  • Recording test data.
  • Gathering and maintaining specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.
  • Performing computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas.
  • Plotting data and drawing simple curves and graphs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
