About The Position
SAIC is seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Technician I to work as a Cable Assembly Technician supporting the US Navy in Bedford, Indiana. This entry-level position involves assembling, testing, and troubleshooting cable assemblies for military applications. It offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow within SAIC’s engineering and manufacturing team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Zero years of experience required.
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance; SAIC will sponsor the clearance process. No clearance is required to start.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
- Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, and twist for periods of time.
- Proficiency with hand tools.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of experience in cable assembly, electronic assembly, or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with cable types, connectors, and assembly techniques.
- Proficiency with testing equipment used in cable assembly.
