About The Position

SRC is seeking Engineering Technician services in support of C5ISR systems at NAWCAD WOLF. Responsibilities include assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting; performing simple or routine tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests; operating and adjusting simple test equipment; recording test data; gathering and maintaining specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.; performing computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas; plotting data and drawing simple curves and graphs; and assisting technical staff members in fabrication, integration, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of electronic circuits and mechanical packaging including the development of electrical and mechanical prototypes. Filling this position is contingent upon funding.

Requirements

  • Associates of Applied Science in electrical or mechanical engineering technology and one or more years of relevant experience or a High School Diploma / General Education Development (GED) and three or more years on relevant, hands-on experience
  • Demonstrated experience assembling or installing parts that require simple wiring, soldering, or connecting
  • Demonstrated experience combining, organizing, and packaging individual hardware components, commercial parts, and custom assemblies into complete, ready-to-install packages (kits) for military systems following engineering blueprints and/or Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Demonstrated experience completing routine tasks such as tensile or hardness tests, operating and adjusting simple test equipment, and recording test results
  • Demonstrated experience performing computations, plotting data, and drawing simple curves and graphs
  • Demonstrated experience completing tasks that require the use of CAD

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting and testing C5ISR systems for air platforms or ground vehicle communications
