About The Position
This position is accountable for performing basic tasks associated with designing and preparing studies, plans and specifications for highway facility improvements.Essential Functions Performs basic cost and quantity calculations to ensure their accuracy and completeness. Prepares accurate design layouts and basic drawings in compliance with prescribed standards andspecifications. Accomplishes assigned tasks in a timely manner to facilitate the letting of contracts on schedule. Performs duties in compliance with departmental safety rules. Performs all duties in a manner conducive to the fair and equitable treatment of all employees. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of two years of college in civil engineering technology, pre-engineering or a job relatedtechnical/science curriculum; OR two years of engineering experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Travel is required.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check.
