About The Position

We are looking for an Engineering Technician who thrives in the field and the office—someone who can balance precision with hands-on experience. This role involves diverse projects such as road inspections, GIS updates, and water sampling. You will combine technical skills with real-world applications, working on construction sites and behind the scenes. The position offers a competitive pay rate of $32.29/hour.

Requirements

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or engineering technology or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
2–3 years’ experience in construction inspection, civil engineering, or similar technical field
Familiarity with engineering principles, construction methods, and safety protocols
Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specs
Proficiency in using surveying instruments, lab test equipment, and basic software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Inspect construction projects involving roads, bridges, drainage systems, and traffic control features
Track quantities, measurements, and material usage for ongoing projects
Prepare daily inspection reports and maintain organized project records
Respond to public inquiries and serve as a liaison for residents affected by construction
Review project plans and ensure work complies with specifications and contract standards
Conduct material testing and collect data for engineering analysis
Assist with field activities including water quality monitoring, sampling, and surveying
Coordinate efforts between developers, engineers, and public agencies
