This role involves testing, diagnosing, repairing, configuring, and performing preventative maintenance on network and telecommunications equipment, as well as computers that support FAA networks such as FTI, ADS-B, MFN-2, and DCNS. The technician will manage configuration, software, and licensing changes for various networking equipment, including Cisco and Juniper. Responsibilities also include operating and testing with electronic test equipment, terminating and building cable connectors, maintaining repair records, ensuring a safe work environment, reading and interpreting technical documents, developing testing procedures, and assisting junior technicians with troubleshooting. A key requirement is the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and obtain a FAA Public Trust Clearance or a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
