What You Will Be Doing: We are hiring an Engineering Technician to develop and maintain Helion's fusion generators and maintenance process, procedures, and tooling. You will help develop hardware, lead full-scale builds, and coach fellow technicians on the Build Team. You will report directly to our Build Manager at our Everett, WA campus.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical or Electrical Technician
  • Experience using light fabrication tools (power tools, mills, lathes, etc.)
  • Experience with CAD modeling
  • Read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and reports
  • Efficient use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook for clear documentation and communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing parts/fixtures in CAD software

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and managers to design, assemble, test, and troubleshoot electromechanical systems and fixtures
  • Design and fabricate fixtures and jigs to aid in the assembly/repair of electromechanical components
  • Own process development and work instruction creation for energy bank maintenance
  • Design, build, and perform mechanical and electrical tests on parts and assemblies
  • Ensure safety and quality standards are met throughout the production process
