About The Position

Developing Multiskilled Industrial Facilities Mechanic to join our team. The candidate will gain experience in maintaining and repairing a variety of industrial facility equipment and systems, including operations manufacturing equipment. The successful candidate will work under general supervision to help ensure that our facilities operate smoothly, efficiently, and safely.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Some experience with operations manufacturing equipment including large chamber vacuum systems, CNC equipment, control systems, and shakers
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under general supervision and follow established procedures
  • Physically able to perform the duties required, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various environmental conditions
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or certifications
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) or similar certification
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations

Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing maintenance and repairs on Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment
  • Support maintenance and troubleshooting of operations manufacturing equipment including large chamber vacuum systems, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment, control systems, and shakers
  • Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues with facility systems and equipment
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on facility infrastructure and manufacturing equipment under guidance
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
  • Collaborate with other facilities staff and contractors to complete projects and repairs
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance tasks
  • Respond to maintenance requests and issues as directed
  • Assist in facility improvement projects and manufacturing repairs
  • Stay updated with the latest industry's best practices and technologies
  • Work under general supervision with less detailed instructions provided
  • Follow established processes to complete tasks within identified boundaries and procedures
  • Identify problems and issues in straightforward situations and escalate issues to supervisor for resolution
  • Ability to obtain a United States security clearance is required as a job requirement
