Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a motivated individual to join the Power/Control Systems (PCS) team as a Manufacturing Engineering Technician in Sykesville, Maryland. In the Mission Systems sector, you’ll join our experts in developing systems and solutions that keep our world safe. The PCS team is a leader in providing Power/Control Systems for naval based customers. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician develops assembly instructions for product for first-time-builds, mentors and trains new and experienced assemblers on newer builds, gathers and analyzes defect data to identify defect trends, and supports program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions. They collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to develop and implement new processes and process improvements, and assist engineering in creating designs and/or developing products and processes; documenting drawing errors and suggesting improvements. They also develop and construct experimental and prototype devices, models and systems working from very general information, and design, develop, and assemble manufacturing aids such as holding fixtures, jigs, dies, harness boards, etc. They adhere to established procedures and practices as required to ensure compliance. The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively communicate and work with a variety of internal personnel from manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, and design engineering. They should also be self-directed, organized, and team oriented.
