About The Position

The Pharmacy Engineering Technician 3 oversees logistics, fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance, and the repair of mechanical and electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, motors and systems for a large-scale Pharmacy Dispensing Center. The Pharmacy Engineering Technician 3 ensures maintenance and continuous improvement of quality and industry standards. Primary Job Tasks: Evaluate mechanical products to determine cost efficiency, oversee and implement prescription drug distribution equipment Recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions, reduce cost-to-fill, increase throughput and improve quality Perform tests of related software and equipment to ensure optimal operation and freedom from defects Brainstorm improvements to current prococedures and develop models of possible future configurations Exercise discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes and techniques Work independently due to previous experience/breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge You will report to the Supervisor of Pharmacy Engineering. Requirements

  • 4 or more years of experience working in an industrial environment with automated equipment maintenance
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment for minimal downtime
  • Ability to work independently in a project/task completion driven environment
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time for educational and related business
  • Must be willing to work overtime, some weekends and evenings required based on our needs
  • Must reside within a commutable distance to the CenterWell Pharmacy facility in Orlando, FL

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PLC (Programmable logic controller) devices, control networks, software and applications
  • Strong hands on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation, testing, and startup
  • Experience reading and interpreting manufacturer instructions regarding repair and maintenance of automated equipment
  • Experience troubleshooting and determining causes of failure to perform corrective actions (I.E.. Motors, relays, switches, servos, VFDs, and other sensing devices)
  • Experience with conveyance systems
