About The Position

KBR is looking for an Engineering Technician 2 to assist with coordination and execution of new installations on our Counter-Small Unmanned Aircraft System (C-sUAS) team. This is a full-time, on-site position in Lexington Park, MD // St. Inigoes, MD at Webster Field.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen with an active/secret clearance.
  • AS degree in Engineering Technology or related field, OR military technical training program, OR completion of technical institute program & 1-2+ years of experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED & 4+ years of experience in a related role.
  • Must be able to move, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to climb towers for installs.
  • Must be able to travel for work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft office products.
  • Ability to travel on a frequent basis to locations CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Familiarity with Group 1, 2, and 3 Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
  • Experience working with Navy entities such as NAVFAC, N6, BCO, Physical Security, and CNIC.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of existing installed systems.
  • Support testing and evaluation of systems located at Webster Field.
  • Following specific instructions, assemble or construct simple or standard equipment or parts.
  • Service or repair simple instruments or equipment.
  • Conduct a variety of tests using established methods.
  • Prepare test specimens, adjust, and operate equipment, and record test data, pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors.
  • Extract engineering data from various prescribed but non-standardized sources.
  • Process the data following well-defined methods including elementary algebra and geometry.
  • Present the data in prescribed form.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot sophisticated electronic components including but not limited to Servers, Network Switched, Power Supplies, RF Antennas, and electronic enclosures.
  • Work with C-sUAS Operators and leadership from U.S. Navy and other stakeholders to troubleshoot/identify outages and execute mitigating actions.
