About The Position

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an Engineering Support Technician (Associate and Mid-Level) to join the B-1B Full Scale Fatigue Test team located in Tukwila, Washington. A successful member of this team will be responsible for managing engineering documentation related to inspections and repairs for the Bombers B-1B Full Scale Fatigue Test program.

Requirements

  • Advanced skills with MS office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Strong desire to work with paper engineering documentation
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles, analyzes, develops and formats data by utilizing engineering standards, processes and computational tools to provide documentation that assists in the development of engineering life cycle products, services and processes.
  • Analyzes documentation/products to verify regulatory conformance and contractual compliance.
  • Maintains and improves products (e.g., engineering data, spreadsheets, and documentation), processes and services to ensure consistent quality of paperwork used to accomplish engineering tasks.
  • Creates and maintains design documentation by using company/industry standards to communicate the end product to internal customers.
  • Develops and maintains engineering related user documentation to support the design of engineering systems.
  • Maintains libraries to ensure accurate data collection for internal and external customers
  • Manages test hardware inventory, documentation and places orders for replacement hardware and materials in support of test execution as required
  • Organizes and authors weekly, monthly, and annual engineering reports and test readiness reviews
