About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Engineering Technical Specialist to join their Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team in Seattle, WA. This role involves developing innovative solutions within established guidelines in the Metrology and Test Equipment Services (MATES) Infrastructure Organization. The specialist will apply knowledge and experience to proactively monitor and maintain authoritative data across Boeing applications like Common Metrology Information System (CMIS) or Strategic Inventory Management Online (SIMON). Responsibilities include identifying and correcting outdated or inconsistent records, evaluating the impact of changes, and updating information to meet structured application standards. The role also involves system administration, data evaluation for troubleshooting, completeness, and accuracy. The specialist will collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data, summarize findings, and develop conclusions and recommendations. They will standardize data mining for commonly used data using queries and provide results to end users, as well as generate reports for leadership. Additionally, the role includes documenting requirements for technical teams, creating user guides, and validating system enhancements through testing to ensure changes are ready, reliable, and valuable.

Requirements

This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data, then summarizing findings; developing conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
Experience with Microsoft Excel to process tabular data
Ability to document training instructions and user guides

Nice To Haves

2+ years of experience with Common Metrology Information System (CMIS), or Strategic Inventory Management Online (SIMON)
Familiarity with data architecture, and data warehouse concepts
Good stakeholder management and communication skills
Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and delivering projects on schedule
Experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry

Responsibilities

Provides configuration management, coordinates changes, performs assessments of compliance and manages the implementation of product standards across company business units and programs
Performs data mining and evaluation to various criteria and provides summary of results for the end users
Standardize data mining for commonly used data using queries and providing results to end users
Develops, documents, implements, provides consultation on the application of, and ensures compliance with, requirements for use of engineering tools, processes and standards
Provides training and assistance in the utilization of processes and tools and supports the integration of engineering designs
Ensures regulatory requirements are met
Identifies and validates user access roles, produces tip sheets and understands system interoperability
Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
Develops, maintains and distributes engineering documents, reports and correspondence to enable business activity
Collects, analyzes and validates engineering performance metrics and coordinates organizational requirements to support business needs
