About The Position

Assemble and fabricate electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment. Maintain operations of mechanical machinery, calibration equipment, power tools and electronic tooling. Applies specific functional knowledge and working and general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance, and reviews or guides activities of junior employees.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as an engineering technician
  • Knowledge of shop safety and proper usage of basic hand tools, powered hand tools, pneumatic hand tools, and basic inspection tools
  • Ability to support munition assemblies including disassembly, reassembly, and developing and updating technical data to effectively restore equipment to operational readiness
  • Ability to plan, conduct, and report on system testing
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in prototyping and electrical systems
  • Ability to work in a complex team environment

  • Associate’s degree in engineering or a related science field
  • Completion of a technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school curriculum or course of training in electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, armaments or ordnance, or engineering technology
