About The Position

As an Engineering Technician II supporting Spiderman operations, you’ll play an important role in the manufacturing of high-quality, life-changing medical devices. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to work closely with engineering and operations teams to support process performance, product quality, and day-to-day manufacturing activities in a fast-paced, regulated environment. A niche technology, Spiderman manufacturing entails production of hollow porous fiber sub-assemblies that are built into Oxygenators used in cardiopulmonary procedures. In this role, you will provide technical support to extrusion manufacturing processes and equipment while partnering with cross-functional teams to help maintain safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in extrusion, manufacturing, or other technical production environments
  • Familiarity with mechanical or electromechanical equipment troubleshooting
  • Experience assembling and disassembling tooling or fixtures
  • Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Experience in a GMP-regulated environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of process controls, sensors, or automated equipment
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or 5S principles
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Technical certifications or vocational training preferred
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to engineering and operations teams to help improve cycle time, yield, quality, safety, and compliance within extrusion manufacturing
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining extrusion equipment and process instrumentation, including calibration, inspection, testing, and repair activities
  • Support troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions and process deviations while escalating complex issues as needed
  • Perform routine equipment setup, tooling assembly/disassembly, and preventative maintenance activities
  • Collect and document process data to support manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety requirements
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, quality, maintenance, and operations teams to support production goals and process improvements
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with quality and regulatory requirements
