About The Position

We are seeking a Hotel Maintenance Technician 1 to join our onsite facilities team in Mesa, AZ. This full‑time, entry‑level maintenance role is ideal for hands‑on problem solvers who enjoy helping guests and keeping resort operations running smoothly. This position requires weekend and holiday availability to support our busy resort environment. You will support resort operations by performing maintenance tasks, including projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders. Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Up to 1 year of experience in Engineering/Maintenance/Trades operations within a resort or commercial environment.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and conversing in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Must communicate effectively with immediate supervisors and resort leadership.
  • Must be detail-oriented with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to various tasks, perform effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Regularly, the team member must lift, move, push, or pull up to 50+ pounds.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Candidates are required to pass a background check, drug test, and demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Complete maintenance projects, work orders, and guest requests.
  • Perform basic repairs: painting, wall touch-ups, caulking, plumbing fixes, and unclogging.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues, reset breakers, and replace bulbs.
  • Install and program TVs and small electronics.
  • Assist with appliance repairs and replacements.
  • Use resort systems like HotSOS to track work.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and lifts safely.
  • Communicate professionally with guests and peers.
  • Follow all safety standards and identify potential hazards.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership.
