About The Position

As an Engineering Technician 4 at MKS Instruments, you will partner with Systems and Design Engineering to test and troubleshoot the next generation of RF Plasma generators. Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent technician experience
  • Minimum of 4+ years of related experience
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other electrical / RF instruments
  • Experience using schematics to troubleshoot PCBA problems

Nice To Haves

  • Use of computers to drive tests or collect data
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Use of LTSpice or other circuit simulation tools
  • PCBA soldering / rework

Responsibilities

  • Test, calibrate, and troubleshoot new RF generator designs
  • Test and troubleshoot new PCBAs to validate performance
  • Conduct failure analysis on returned units, determine what is failed and make observations or measurements to identify root cause
  • Build test setups for specialized experiments
  • Partner with Systems and Design Engineering to test and troubleshoot the next generation of RF Plasma generators
  • Provide customer support opportunities as they may occur
