Requirements

  • 5+ years of applicable experience.
  • Competency in MCAD, specifically using SolidWorks, and may need to utilize at an experienced level to execute job scope activities.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to align expectations.
  • Ability to navigate disagreements constructively to maintain team cohesion.
  • BS or BE in Mechanical Engineering, Bio-mechanical Engineering, Physics or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the necessary input and feedback for all involved areas, to ensure that serial production of compressors and clinical systems is done with the highest quality of design and reliability, which includes the definitions and specifications, including but not limited to, incoming inspection requirements, production methods, end of line inspection specifications, etc. Responsibilities also include our Nitrous product line.
  • Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.
  • Performs engineering design evaluations. Recommends alternations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
  • Processes task driven design activities as assigned to support Duerr Dental development team and US operations team.
  • Evaluate control conditions via tolerance study observation/awareness.
  • Operate within the team framework, but function independently while under general supervision.
  • Delegates tasks effectively based on team members strengths and project needs.
  • Plans and prioritizes task timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
  • Monitors progress and adjusts action plans to meet deadlines and budgets and holds team members accountable.
  • Promoting a culture of safety, quality and accountability within the team.
  • Facilitates communication within the team and across departments to ensure alignment. Serves as a spokesperson with the Sales Operations and Sales Team.
  • Manages all relevant stakeholders through pro-active communication and problem mitigation. Pro-active escalation when necessary.
  • Mentoring and technical coaching of junior engineers to support their growth and development.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
