About The Position

This role provides essential support to the Engineering Team, enhancing their capacity for higher-level project management. The Engineering Support position focuses on timely estimate and job processing for previous parts, assisting in new part processing by gathering requested information and data from engineering. Additionally, this role involves managing file directories, updating prints and revision levels, and handling customer communication for incoming and outgoing orders and estimates. The position also includes production printing tasks and ensuring adherence to safety protocols within the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer purchase orders (POs) to ensure profitability by examining all terms and conditions.
  • Process orders for previous parts based on priority and due date, verifying material, price, delivery, revision level, and profitability.
  • Ensure released work reflects current material costs and company procedures.
  • Create RFQs for Purchasing on outside services and large material buys.
  • Utilize the Alro site for previous materials not in the Related Material Cost Grid and update costs in M1.
  • Complete the Contract Review process for assigned accounts, collaborating with the sales team for price increases.
  • Release Previous Jobs within guidelines and reassign jobs needing process changes or improvement to a PE.
  • Email Order Verification to the customer.
  • Ensure routings and drawings are legible for the shop floor.
  • Release of previous jobs.
  • Support Engineering with timely estimates and job processing on previous parts.
  • Assist in the development of new part processing by obtaining requested information and data from engineering.
  • Assist Project Engineers in locating and moving Models and Drawings to the appropriate directory locations.
  • Update revised prints and replace obsolete prints with the current revision.
  • Update M1 revision levels to the new revision.
  • Assist in structuring RFQ, Inspection Report, and Material Certification file management in correct directories.
  • Manage files for requested Deviation and RMA documents.
  • Handle customer emails, requesting missing information for prints and clarifications.
  • Assist in information flow for incoming and outgoing orders and estimates.
  • Check the status of Customer Supplied parts and communicate status to the Ace team.
  • Pull required material certifications and email them to the customer upon request.
  • Print and assemble job packets (job cards, routings, and prints) and deliver them to PM/Nesting.
  • Perform automated printing functions daily or as needed.
  • Always wear personal protective gear when in the plant.
  • Participate in all required safety training.
  • Speak up when observing unsafe conditions or actions.
