Engineering Supervisor

About The Position

The Engineering Supervisor will assist with the daily scheduling of projects and tasks and will assist in the training, supervision, scheduling of the engineering staff as well as with energy conservation and recycling programs at the resort. The Supervisor will also diagnose, service and repair hotel equipment including; electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional repair and maintenance experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort. Prior Supervisory experience desired.
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of property maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating.
  • Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job; knowledge of HotSOS preferred/is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 lbs.
  • US work authorization is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Supervisory experience desired.
  • knowledge of HotSOS preferred/is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise on-site maintenance staff and third-party vendors.
  • Implement and handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs.
  • Diagnose and handle all repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers and associated equipment throughout the entire building.
  • Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in rooms or public area in a timely manner.
  • Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
  • Clean all stations in Engineering, grease traps, plumbing stoppages and maintain an organized department and hotel.
  • Assist with energy conservation programs in the hotel.
  • Install electrical and mechanical systems for renovations, outlet additions and associated equipment and provide electrical set ups for exhibits including maintenance of those set-ups.
