The Engineering Supervisor works under the direction of the Operations Manager to effectively train, supervise, and motivate their team. This role acts as the bridge between technical design accuracy and operational leadership. A successful supervisor delivers accurate designs, anticipating field challenges and responding quickly while protecting live-network integrity. Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and MVR check.
  • Possess a current/valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and auto insurance.
  • Industry experience is required; preferred experience in large-scale project planning and managing multiple work teams simultaneously.
  • 3 - 5 years relevant experience in engineering DC Power Plants within Telecom environment.
  • Must possess strong leadership abilities and a commitment to producing high-quality work product under tight timeframes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and leadership to the field teams for project safety, quality, on-time delivery, profitability, and customer satisfaction results.
  • Coordinate fiscal reviews and performance assessments of all Energy Services projects while ensuring profitability on each job.
  • Accountable and responsible for the success of all assigned Energy Services client accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to increase clientele, evaluate bid/no-bid opportunities, and compile bid responses.
  • Contribute to recruiting and hiring efforts while directing the training and development programs of new and existing employees.
  • Oversee the planning, logistics, job materials, and employee deployments for all assigned projects.
  • Serve as the first "Point of Contact" for customers, returning all calls and emails in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide weekly status reports to HQ and maintain consistent updates with the assigned manager.
  • Responsible for the oversight of producing accurate, build-ready engineering designs and maintaining standards compliance to minimize field rework while ensuring fiscal compliance.
  • Accountable for Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy to support procurement and field resolution, preventing material-related delays.
  • Responsible for the timely resolution of missed items or items incorrectly ordered.
  • Evaluate and approve design and engineering changes in an expedited manner while protecting system redundancy and reliability.
  • Ensure engineering decisions support safe work practices in live Central Office (CO) environments to protect network integrity.
  • Provide timely technical support to Project Managers and installation teams, resolving engineering issues that impact execution and on-time delivery.
