About The Position

The Engineering Supervisor assists the Chief Engineer in overseeing the daily operations of the Engineering Department, ensuring that all building systems, guest rooms, and public areas are maintained in top working conditions. This position provides hands-on technical support, leadership, and guidance to the engineering team while promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. The Engineering Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring that Dellshire Resort operates smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with brand standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of maintenance or engineering experience in a hotel or resort environment.
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and work order systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and maintenance management systems (MMS or CMMS).
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Certification or related trade licenses preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising and coordinating daily maintenance and repair activities throughout the resort property.
  • Provide leadership, training, and direction to the engineering team, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to high standards.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
  • Support the implementation and documentation of the resort’s preventive maintenance program.
  • Inspect guest rooms, equipment, and public areas regularly to ensure safety, functionality, and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and departments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Monitor inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, and coordinate reordering as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, preventive maintenance logs, and completed repairs.
  • Assist with training team members in safety procedures, maintenance techniques, and use of equipment.
  • Support compliance with OSHA, local building codes, fire safety, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Engineer on special projects, capital improvements, and energy-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure proper follow-up and documentation for all emergency repairs or incidents.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments to resolve maintenance issues promptly.
  • Perform other related duties or projects assigned by the Chief Engineer.
