About The Position

Cooper Standard is looking to partner with students seeking various engineering degrees. Candidates should possess technical competence, a solid work ethic, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Students will participate in our rotational program, which includes exposure to sealing, fuel/brake lines, fluid transfer hoses, and “hands-on” experience in labs and other facilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical Engineering with an overall grade point average of 2.8 or better
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Must be detail-orientated and possess excellent follow-up skills.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data to identify and solve problems.
  • Must display maturity and a high level of professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Undertakes and completes simple or basic project/product development tasks to include any of the following: writing and verifying specifications, maintaining product/process documentation, testing processes, equipment, raw materials, and product development, and/or validation of equipment and processes.
  • May assist in innovating and creating concepts for new products, processes, and test methods.
  • Preparation of standard reports/documentation to communicate results to a technical community.
  • Identifies areas for improvement, suggests solutions, and submits ideas.
  • Works closely with technical, business, engineering, and manufacturing personnel.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed and directed by the manager.
  • May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description.
